Day by Day

Begin your journey to Kashmir with a scenic drive from Srinagar to Pahalgam, where you'll explore the picturesque Aru Valley. Next, travel to Gulmarg, known for its mesmerizing landscapes, before returning to Srinagar for a stay in a traditional houseboat. Explore the Mughal Gardens and historic sites before departing from Srinagar, carrying cherished memories of your Kashmir adventure.

Day 01: Arrival in Srinagar 

Take flight & arrive at Srinagar. Srinagar has been described by some visitors as the Venice of the East. This beautiful city was established by Emperor Ashoka some 2300 years ago. On arrival you will meet your driver and transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Srinagar.

Day 02: Srinagar

Today we start our sightseeing in Srinagar. First of all, visit Mughal gardens in Srinagar. In the Mughal gardens you will see the Chashma Shahi. Chashma Shahi means the Royal Spring and is dedicated to the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. The spring waters are believed to have curative properties. After visiting the Chashma Shahi, we visit the Nishat and Shalimar Mughal Gardens. Nishat is the larger of the two gardens and has an impressive plantation of Chenar trees on its highest terrace. Both the gardens are built on a symmetrical plan of central waterways with fountains dividing a series of gardened terraces.

In the evening, we visit the Shankaracharya Temple. This temple is located on a sharp hill, 1,000 feet high and houses a small temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. It was built in memory of the great Shankaracharya who came to Kashmir from Kerala to revive Hinduism. From the top of the hills, you would be able to have a panoramic view of the Kashmir Valley. After visiting the temple, back to the hotel. Overnight in Srinagar.

Day 03: Srinagar to Pahalgam 95 Kms 2 ½ hrs Drive.

After breakfast visit the Jama Masjid in Srinagar, Jama Masjid is the biggest mosque in Kashmir Valley and amongst the top attractions for tourists in Srinagar. The mosque’s prime location, impressive architecture, large size, as well as historical and religious importance makes it quite a popular place to see in Srinagar. Every Friday, the sacred Jama Masjid can be seen thronged by thousands of devotees to offer prayers.

Later, driving to Pahalgam, En-route visit Saffron fields of Pampora, see the beautiful countryside, lots of rice fields. On arrival proceed for check-in.

Pahalgam (Valley of Shepherds) – It is a resort set in a pristine village lying next to the Lidder River. Once a humble shepherd’s village with breathtaking views. now it is Kashmir’s premier resort, cools even during the heights of summer. It is situated at an altitude of 2,130 m above sea level and has a golf course at 2400 meters above the sea level. Surrounded with fragrant pine forests, the idyllic resort includes a golf course and spots for angling.

In Pahalgam for local Sightseeing Chandanwari- Beetab Valley Aru we will provide you a local Taxi for 3 Hrs.

Aru Valley: 12 Kms Drive from Pahalgam Aru Valley is an enthralling village in Kashmir. One of the most popular valleys in Kashmir, it is the base camp for visits to the huge number of lakes, meadows and peaks around it like the Kolhoi glacier and the Tarsar lake. The village of Aru lies beside the Aru river, a tributary of the Lidder river. The Aru valley is noted for its scenic meadows. Most tourists come here for areas of peace and quiet in the lap of nature. Aru is a great place for family outings because it has beautiful resorts and activities for all kinds of people. The locals truly make you feel at home with innumerable cups of Kaah'wa and by taking you sightseeing.

Betaab Valley: The valley falls between Pahalgam and Chandanwadi on the way to the Amarnath Temple Yatra and is one of the three angelic valleys of Pahalgam, the other two being Aru and Chandanwadi. Sprawling fertile pastures, snow-capped mountains and meandering streams are characteristic of this valley and add to the aesthetic appeal of this place. Apart from being well-known for this stunning landscape, the valley is also renowned as a famous trekking base and camping site for travelers who want to explore the nearby regions or set out for the AmarnathYatra. 
Chandanwari: Chandanwari, located 15 km from Pahalgam, is the starting point of the famous Amarnath Yatra. It is also famous for snow sledging on a snow bridge. The place is perfect to enjoy a picnic with your family and enjoy the natural beauty. Pahalgam is a popular hill station in Anantnag district of Jammu & Kashmir. It is a very famous tourist destination, and many tourists visit the place every year. It is located on the banks of Lidder River. Chandanwari is best recognized as the place where the Bollywood movie "Betaab" was shot.

Day 04: Pahalgam - Gulmarg 155 Kms 3 hrs Drive.

After breakfast drive to Gulmarg, on arrival check in to your hotel and after freshen up visit Gulmarg (Meadow of Gold) – It was discovered as a tourist destination by the British in the 19th century. Prior to that, Mughal emperors vacationed in the Gulmarg valley which is about 03 kms long and up-to 01 km wide. It is exquisitely situated in a pine surrounded basin of the PirPanjal range at an altitude of 2,730 meters above sea level and one of the most famous tourist destinations of Kashmir. It also has one of the world’s highest green golf courses with 18 holes, as well as a clubhouse, which is a historical building in its own right. On arrival check in to the hotel, overnight in Gulmarg.

Day 05: Gulmarg

After breakfast, proceed for the sightseeing.

Gulmarg, a prime location in the state of Jammu & Kashmir is about 55 Kms. from Srinagar, the capital of Jammu & Kashmir. At an altitude of 2,653 m., Gulmarg is exquisitely situated in a pine surrounded basin of the Pir Panjal range. Gulmarg or the `Meadow of Flowers' is a lovely blooming sight where an opulence of flora displays various colors with the changing seasons.

Gulmarg's astounding beauty, prime location and closeness to Srinagar naturally make it one of the prime hill stations in the country. Originally called 'Gaurimarg' by shepherds, its present name was given in the 16th century by Sultan Yusuf Shah, who was impressed by the sight of its green slopes embellished with wild flowers. Today, Gulmarg is not only a mountain resort of exemplary beauty - it also has the highest green golf course in the world, at an altitude of 2,650 m, and is the country's major ski resort in the winter.

Gulmarg is situated at 2650metres on a flat plateau at the base of Mt. Apharwat. The best and longest ski run of 3 kilometers in Gulmarg is accessed by the Gondola Cable Car Lift, which allows a ski run of 2,213 meters descent. The gondola ascends almost to the peak of Apharwat, at an elevation of 3980 meters above sea level. It provides lift served access to 1330 vertical meters of vast snow slopes. With the setting-up of Gondola Cable Car Lift from Gulmarg to Apharwat top, Gulmarg has become one of the highest lift-served ski resorts in the world. The total aerial distance covered by Gulmarg Gondola is 5 kilometers.

Day 06: Gulmarg to Sonmarg 150 Kms 3 ½ hrs Drive. 

After breakfast, proceed to Sonmarg which is the most delightful drive from Gulmarg . On the route stop at any beautiful spots like wayul, mammer etc. Precede head to Sonmarg 2690mtrs (Meadow of Gold). One can ride on steed to visit Thajiwas Glacier where snow stays round the year and Sonmarg is reputed to be Gateway of Ladakh. In Sonmarg we will Provide a local Taxi for sightseeing. Enjoy the drive to the famous Zero Point enrouted through the Zojila pass. Check In to the hotel, overnight in Sonmarg.

Day 07: Sonmarg – Srinagar 96 Kms 2 ½ hrs Drive.

After breakfast drive to Srinagar, on arrival check in to your Houseboat, after freshen up enjoy the Shikara ride

A shikara ride is one of the most soothing, relaxing aspects of a holiday in Kashmir. Shikaras are long boats which crowd the Srinagar lakes. They are used for getting back and forth from the houseboats or for longer tours. It is worth it to take a pleasure ride around the lake in shikara. Shikara is a Gondola type light rowing boat. The two-hour boat ride takes tourists on a relaxing sightseeing tour of interior parts of the calm and placid waters of Dal Lake, and be part of shopping- by-shikara expeditions. Because the Dal is so central to the landscape of Srinagar, many places of tourist interest have, over the ages, been built in its vicinity. Overnight in House boat.

Day 08: Srinagar to Mumbai

After breakfast drive to Srinagar Airport and take flight to your next destination.
